Time is a Thief ~ Photography our Rebellion.
The camera is an extension to the experience of life- a tool which constantly teaches the art of noticing. The awareness of possibility. The necessity of finding wonder in the mundane and the essence lying just beyond it. The value of searching, and the satisfaction of its reward.
It is up to the operator to choose which moments deserve to long outlive their active point in time. To determine which elements of a scene should be included in an image and how the result should be refined according to the story they wish to tell or the feelings they wish the viewer to encounter.
There is an art to photography but its foundation is thoughtfulness- a presence of mind but more crucially still of imagination, vision and concise creative decision.
